Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 head butter lettuce leaves separated
  • 1 can water chestnuts diced
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha optional
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add chicken and cook, breaking up with a spoon, until browned.
  • Add garlic and ginger, cook for 1 minute.
  • Stir in water chestnuts and green onions.
  • Mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, and sriracha.
  • Pour sauce over chicken and stir to combine.
  • Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  • Serve in lettuce cups and garnish with sesame seeds.

💡 Katie's Notes

Choose nice crisp lettuce leaves that can hold the filling. Boston lettuce or iceberg work great for this recipe.
